Scannable answers the question every height safety operation eventually gets asked: prove this piece of equipment was inspected, by whom, and when. It replaces the paper inspection folder with a permanent digital identity attached to the gear itself.

How it works

A chip is fixed to each item — ropes, harnesses, connectors, anchors and the rest of your PPE. Tapping it with a smartphone opens that item's full record: inspection history, certifications and service dates. A new inspection is logged on the spot, at the item, on the phone. Nothing gets scribbled on a clipboard and typed up later, which is where most equipment registers quietly drift out of date.

Why it matters for compliance

If you operate under IRATA, AS/NZS or WorkSafe NZ requirements, an equipment register is only worth having if it is current and provable. Scannable keeps inspection records tied to the physical item rather than to a spreadsheet somebody has to remember to update, so an auditor, a client or a site supervisor can verify a harness or an anchor in seconds rather than digging through folders.
